A seven-part documentary series, an insightful monograph full of fascinating case studies, an exhibition at the Kampa Museum, and even a feature film. This is Identita (or Identity), a project that highlights both the past history and present of Czech graphic design. It was created by design experts Filip Blažek and Linda Kudrnovská, graduates of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University.

Transition from hunting-gathering to food-production represented a global turning point in human history. New results from archaeological and anthropological research in the Middle Nile Valley show that this innovation was brought to the area by new human groups that arrived in the 6th and 5th millennia BC.

A New Issue of Estetika: The European Journal of Aesthetics Has Been Published

The journal is published by Helsinki University Press on behalf of the Department of Aesthetics at CU FA. The new issue released on 18 March 2025, includes four research papers and three critical notes.

CU as a Best Practice Example for Erasmus+ BIPs

31.3.2025 Faculty

Blended intensive programmes are one of the new Erasmus+ features that were introduced in 2021. The programmes combine virtual and physical mobility, enabling students and staff to develop new educational activities including digital skills improvement. The most active faculty in the BIP coordination is the Faculty of Arts, which has already organised four BIPs.

25.3.2025 Faculty

The faculty has responded to repeating suggestions from the academic community and has introduced three new pieces of equipment in faculty buildings. A new microwave is located on the second floor of the main building and a drinking fountain is on the ground floor. A ping pong table is located on the ground floor of the Sporck Palace.
